Temptation
- Jesus was tempted (challenged) by devil (satan) after his body weakened due to 40 days of fasting
- This show that he only could only accomplish (complete) God's purpose through rejection, suffering, death and resurrection
- 3 challenges took place :
- 1. Satan persuaded him to use his divine power to satisfy his physical hunger . But he said - only the word of god n scripture (Holy Book) can truly satisfy man
- 2. Satan tried to force him to commit suicide by throwing himself off from the top of the temple but he refused .
- 3. Satan offered him all the kingdoms of the world but he rejected as he refused his power for self-preservation or world domination
