1. Programming

   • In a selection structure a question is asked and depending on the answer the program takes one of two courses of action after the program moves on to the next event.
   • In computer science conditional statements, conditional expressions and conditional constructs are features of a programming language which perform different computations or actions depending on whether a programmer-specified boolean condition evaluates to true or false.

2. The Central Processing Unit (CPU)

   • The CPU is the part of a computer system that is commonly referred as the brains of a computer. The CPU is responsible for executing a sequence of stored instructions which is called a program.
   • Clock speed: Hertz has the unit of frequency of 1 cycle per second. Kilohertz has the unit of frequency of 1000 cycle per second. Megahertz has the unit of frequency of million cycle per second. Gigahertz has the unit of frequency of one thousand million cycle per second.
   • The factors which affect the CPU are: the amount of RAM memory. The speed and generation of your CPU. The amount of cache memory.

3. Computer components

   • The most important characteristic of a hard drive is how much data it can store referred to as the storage capacity.
   • RAM is the place in a computing device where the operating system application programs and data in current use are kept so they are kept so they can be reached by the device's processor
