1. Reasons why data is stored

   • data is stored so that it can have a copy for the user to use if they were to ever have lose or damage their orignal or current copy of the data
   • Data is stored so that the user can then use the data at alater date, this means that they can go back and edit it or even keep it archived for later use

2. considerations when choosing a storage solution

   • the cost of how much the user would be prepared on spending on storage would be a consideration for the user as all different types of storage all vary in price
   • the size and format of the file they would like to store would have to be taken into consideration as if the user wanted top store a large clip they would have to take into account a storage that is compatible andalso a storage that can fit it

3. The broad characteristics of current storage media

   • cloud storage allows users the users to save unlimited amounts of data however they have to have internet connection to access the data
   • solid state drive is robust but however they can be large and have a limit on storage
   • magnetic storage is less robust then solid state but however it is cheap
   • optical storage is quick but is fragile
