HCI USER NEEDS

  1. DISABLED USER REQUIREMENTS - Large fonts for visually impaired users, Magnified areas of the screen for poor sight, Visual messages for deaf people, Speech recognition for blind users, Changeable colour schemes for colourblind users.

  2. CHILDREN REQUIREMENTS - Minimal amount of text on the screen, Child friendly font and size so it is easy to read, Bright colours to attract attention, Include animations, Use games and puzzels.

  3. NOVICE USER REQUIREMENTS - Novice users priority will be the ease of learning. These needs can be met through clear navigation structure and help screens to guide them through problems.

  4. EXPERT USER REQUIREMENTS - Expert users will want to get the job in the least possible time. These needs can be met by using shortcuts to prevent going through a series of menu's and the interface can be customised to suit them.
