Leasing the software Software that you pay for monthly or weekly, and advantage of this is that you don’t have to go out and buy it and the payment is usually ongoing  Software as a Service (SaaS) Pay as you go software and you pay every time you need to access it. It is not stored on your computer; it’s hosted by someone else. Software Licences Multi-user licence You can install it one more than one devices, but the number is agreed. You can put the particular programme on to the amount of computers you have paid for and no more. Licence by use You can still only install on a certain number of machines, but only a limited number of people can use it at any one time, even if the number of computers is higher than  Site Licence Can be used on all computers on one site (all computers in a particular area) but there is a limit of computers that can have the programme Open source software    open source software is software that is free and available to everyone to download. They won't be official, and will most likely be remakes of existing software (e.g. Microsoft Word) but will be compatible with the original. Some advantages of open source software are: ·         Its free ·         There are open source software of operating systems or software which are free ·         Its free because the source code used can be adapted and it is created by anybody ·         No licensing fees ·         You can copy and distribute it as much as you want ·         The file compatibility is good because you can save files from one to another
