1.the origins of Athenian democracy were to do with religion, religous festivals were held to honour the gods, especially Dionysis, the god of wine and ecstasy. Men attended mystical cult services dressed as satyrs.2.One change of theatre was from religion based story's to ones of mass struggle3.the staging of Athenian drama is different from modern drama because it was mainly tradgedy or comedy and performed outdoors in an ampitheatre. Now, almost every if not all plays,musicals and other such performances are performed indoors and with the audiance in the dark4.The reason that all actors were men was it was considered improper for women to be seen in passionate and/or violent situations in a public place 5.One of the concept Eurapides explores is "do women want to be loyal to their husbands or just survive"6.Often set in mythic times and plays the struggle between man and god7.uses alot of dramatic irony
