Networks Topologies Bus Network The Bus Network is a type of network tech in which all of the nodes of the network are connected by a backbone which has two endpoints All data that is transmitted between nodes in the network is transmitted via the backbone Data packets / packages are sent between senders and receivers Star network The Star Network is a type of network topology in which each of the nodes of the network is connected to a central nodeAll data that is transmitted between node in the network is transmitted to the central node Ring Network In a ring network, computer systems are connected in a ring or a loop. Around the ring, packets are sent, being passed from one computer system to the next until they arrive at their destination.

Network Hardware Network Hardware Data Packets: Emails get broken down into small chunks, containing Error Handling data, Link Handling data, Sender and Receiver Addresses, etc. The main purpose of networking is to share data between computers. A file has to be broken up into small chunks of data known as data packets in order to be transmitted over a network. The data is then re-built once it reaches the destination computer. Networking hardware is required to connect computers and manage how data packets are communicated. Protocols are used to control how data is transmitted across networks. LAN, WAN, & WLAN
