What is ergonomic design?

Designing equipment with comfort, safety and efficiency.

People are kept in mind so that the product promotes the health of the individual.

Different types of people are taken into account to ensure the product is safe and of a comfortable standard.

Products are designed around the human body.

For example a computer chair that adjusts height is an example of ergonomic design as it can adjust to suit the body of the individual.
