- 9Framing MethodA method that allows the beginning and end of a frame to be recognized at the receiver
- 10Byte StuffingUse a special byte to delineate the beginning and end frames. Replace naturally occurring special bytes with something else.
- 11Coding Violationsuse bits that violate the 8B/10B coding method. (8 bits are mapped to 10 signal bits. )
- 12Character CountsA framing method in which start frame informs the receiver of how many bits there are in the message.
