- 1Genre> The type of writing.
E.g. An article, story... - 2Narrative position - 1st person = singular> Singular 1st position is subjected and uses 'I' and 'we' when referring to yourself/yourself with others.
> It can also be used as the subject of the sentence. - 3Narrative position - 1st person = objective> Objective 1st person position is 'me' or, as plural, is 'us'.
- 4Narrative position - 1st person = Possessive> Possessive 1st person position uses 'my', 'mine', 'our' and 'ours'.
- 5Narrative position - 2nd person> To address the reader by using pronouns such as 'you', 'your' and 'yours'.
- 6Narrative position - 3rd person> Used when referring to a person place, thing or idea.
> Singular - 'he', 'she' and 'it'.
>Plural - 'they', 'theirs' and 'them'. - 7Narrative viewpoint> The view/eyes that the story is being told through.
- 8Register> The formality of the text.
- 9Tone> The authors attitudes towards a subject.
- 10Mood> The atmosphere of the writing - the emotions.
- 11Context/Semantic fields> A group of words that belong together.
> Discourse that surrounds a language unit and helps determine its interpretation.
