   • Files and applications are hosted by the cloud computing provider and can be accessed from anywhere you have an internet connection.
     • Software can be provided as a service remotely. This means that there is no need to buy and own a copy of the software and install it locally on your computer, you can pay to use the software remotely, when you need it.

2. advantages

   • Services such as storage and software can be accessed on any device that has anconnection internet
   • it is easy to increase the amount of storage or infrastructure available
   • Security and backups are managed by the host company (the cloud computing provider)
   • Cloud software is updated automatically
   • There is no need to pay IT staff to manage the hardware

3. disadvantages

   • You must have an internet connection to access the stored data, processing power, software or infrastructure that you would like to use
   • Cloud storage can be vulnerable to hacking
   • You are dependant on the host company for providing
   • Cloud computing services such as storage, software, processing and infrastructure can be expensive
