Chapter 1: The Noble Features of Rasulullah s.a.w

1. Height

   • Neither tall, nor short
   • Medium stature
   • Appeared to be the tallest when standing in a group
     • Mu'jizah (miracle) to show no one had reached his high status

2. Complexion

   • Neither very white like lime, nor dark
   • Nor brown, which would result in darkness
   • Illuminant, more luminous than the full moon
   • Very handsome
   • Wheat-coloured
   • White, with redness in it

3. Hair

   • Neither straight, nor curly
   • Slightly wavy
   • Not more than twenty white hair on head and beard at the time of passing
   • Dense hair which reached his earlobes
     • Long hair which reached his shoulders
   • Thin line of hair from chest to navel
   • There was no more hair than normal on his body

4. Dress

   • Red striped lungi and shawl
   • Red clothing

5. Walk

   • Leaned forward slightly
   • Appeared as if he was descending from a high place to a low-lying place
   • Lifted his legs with vigour

6. Age

   • Prophethood at 40
   • Passed away at 63

7. Physique

   • Medium build
   • Broad shoulders
     • Portion between two shoulders was wide and fully fleshed
       • Seal of Prophethood between his shoulders
   • Wide chest
   • Large head
   • Joints of the bones were large
   • Soles of both feet - fully fleshed
     • Praisworthy quality in a man as it shows strength/courage
   • Not fully round, nor elongated face
     • Extremely black eyes
       • Long lashes
   • Fully fleshed hands

8. Addressing others

   • When addressing somebody, he turned his wholle body to face them.
     • Turning the face only can be considered impolite and also denotes pride.
   • Faced the person with his chest and body
   • Did not give a sideglance
