Prolapse of nictitans gland.

Lower lid ectropion with associated conjunctivitis.

Conformational defect in dogs with excessive skin on the face and inadequate lid support by the lateral canthal ligament.

Eversion or kinking of cartilage of 3rd eyelid.

Facial folds in brachcephalics contacting corneal surface.

Abnormal positioning of cilia from lid margin (usually tarsal gland openings). May be no signs especially if hairs are fine.

Liberated tarsal gland content forming a lipogranuloma in the eyelid appearing as a hard yellow lesion.

Single hair emerging from palpebral conjunctiva few mm from lid margin perpendicular to the cornea with opposing shallow, vertical corneal ulcer.
