• 1. A car (1200kg) is pulling a caravan (1000kg) . The resistive force on the car is 200N and the resistive force on the caravan is 300N. They are accelerating at 0.8ms^-2 . Find the thrust on the rod and total force forwards
• 2. A train is pulling 2 carriages. The mass of the engine is 2000kg , and the mass of a carriage is 500kg. The resistive force on the engine is 400N and the resistive force on a carriage is 300N. The acceleration is 0.5ms^-2 . Find the thrust on the rod between the 2 carriages, the thrust on the rod between the engine and the carriage, and the overall forward force.
