Haiti Earthquake Poem

• Haiti, January 12 2010
• The earthquake killed 230,00 women and men.
• 300,000 injured and pale,
• it measured 7 on the rictor scale.
• The people here are extremely poor,
• 40 billion to repair, but probably more.
• A conservative plate boundary was the cause,
• North American and Caribbean plates slide the pause.

Cyclone Nargis poem

• Myanmar, May 2nd 2008,
• Cyclone Nargis came to devastate.
• The cyclone was a category 4,
• Killing estimate 146,000 but many more.
• Our food prices in rice saw a sharp rise,
• as 135mph winds cut production down in size.
• 10 billion dollars was the economic cost,
• 2-3 million peoples houses lost.

The kobe Earthquake

• Japan 17th 1995,
• 6,400 people had died.
• The earthquake hit with the force of a whale,
• measuring a 6.9 on the ritor scale.
• 300,000 homeless and in total despair,
• reconstruction of 60 billion was the cost of repair!
• The Philippine and pacific plate thrust under the Eurasian plate caused this state,
• 15,000 injured because of this fate.
