The poppies in WWI was using has a symbol, poppies were in bloom in a lot of French battlefields in WWI. Now at days the poppies represents the soldiers that died fighting in WWI

There were a lots of front in this war, like the Alpine region where Italy and Austria Hungary fought. The Gallipoli Peninsula where the allies fought with the Ottoman Empire directly. Also there were fights in the Middle East exactly for the control of the Suez Canal.

When the allies was getting more and more the control of the war, the Treaty of versailles on June 18, 1919 was signed in Paris. Where the Triple Alliance signed to pay a lot for the reparations to their enemies and get the responsibility
