     • Read Only Memory
   • What is the purpose?

   • Is it volatile or non-volatile?
     • ROM is non-volatile. This means content is stored even when the computer has been turned off.

2. RAM

   • What does this stand for?
     • Random Access Memory
   • What is the purpose?
     • It stores the instruction and data that are needed while programs are being used.
   • Is it volatile or non-volatile?
     • RAM is volatile. This means content is lost when the computer has been turned off.
