memory

1. ROM

   • what is rom? read-only-memory (rom)is a type of non violate memory used in computers and other devises
   • how does ROM work? rom is a flash memory chip that contains a small amount of non violate memory
   • what devices use ROM?VCRS , game consuls and car radios
   • how do we use rom? rom is is memory that can not be changed by program or user , Rom retainsmemoryand when the computer is turned off the data is still saved
   • non violate or violate? violate

2. RAM

   • what is ram? ram is a form of memory that can be read and changed in any order typically used to store working data and machine code.
   • what devices use ram? tablet , ipad , phone , smart tv and all computers
   • how does ram work? it works by storing common data that programs in constant use of rather than storing the data in a much slower data like solid state hard drive
   • how do u use ram? allows your computer to preform many of its everyday tasks like loading applications ,browsing , eaditing and more
   • non violate or violate? violate

3. virtual memory

   • what is virtual memory? virtual memory is a memory managment techunique that provides an idelized abstraction of the storage recorsesthat are actually available on a given machine which creates the illiusion to the users of a very large memory
   • whats its use?virtual memory is a feature of an operating system that enables a computer to be able to compensate shortage of physical memory by transfering pages of data from random access memory to disk storage .
   • is virtual memory faster than ram?RAM is faster than virtual memory but ram tends to be more expensize
   • virtual memory example? are suported by some operating systems like windows but not DOS
   • why is virtual memory needed? is that an OS can load programs larger than its physical memory
