     • Data Type

       • Data length refers to the number of characters (for text) or digits (for numbers) that a data value is allowed to contain. It helps ensure consistency, optimises storage, and prevents overflow or truncation when data is entered or stored.

       • Data constraints are rules applied to database fields or input values to maintain accuracy, validity, and integrity of the data. They restrict what type of data can be entered, its format, range, uniqueness, or whether it can be left empty.
