1. Client Side

   • Advantages
     • Data cannot be intercepted on the client in the way it can when moving across the internet
     • It is faster, because data is on the client side and does not have to mave across the internet.
   • Disadvantages
     • the web page owner is reliant on the speed of the clients processor speed, meaning if it is slow, the processing will be slow

2. Server side

   • advantages
     • The information to process does not need to be downloaded to the clients computer
     • the processing occurs on a web server, which is likely to be more powerful then the clients computer.
     • It does not matter which browser the user has as all of the work is done on the server.
   • disadvantages
     • different browsers process scripts in different ways meaning the webpage owner cannot be sure how their web page will look.
     • If allot of people are sing the server and asking it to process data, the server could become overloaded and crash.
     • When data is transferred across the internet, there is a higher risk of security threats
