The Atomic number is the number of protons
Electrons orbit the nucleus
The mass number is amount of protons and neutrons
The charge in a proton is positive, and the relative mass is 1
The charge in a electron is negative and the relative mass is 0
The charge in a neutron is neutral and the relative mass is 1
The amount of protons and electrons are always the same
The amount of neutrons is the mass number minus the amount of protons
An isotope has the same amount of protons and electrons but a different amount of nuetrons
