1. solid state

   • lower capicity than magnetic
   • Faster read/write speed than magnetic.Therefore apps will open quicker.
   • Used in portable devices because it is durable so when dropped is less likely to break as there are no moving parts.

2. Magnetic

   • Higher capacity than solid state therefore can hold more data and files.As a secondary storage choice for a school server i would use magnetic because we will need lots of storage and magnetic provides that.
   • Has the slowest read/write speed.
