1. The power supply unit is designed to take the power from the wall outlet and send it to all of the components which need power

2. RAM is your systems short term memory it temporarily stores the data in the RAM until it is needed.This short-term memory disappears when the computer is turned off.

3. The Heat sink is made of metal and covers the CPU which tends to get hot it draws heat away from the processor

4. The CPU is some tomes called the brain of the computer it processes information and carries out commands

5. The Motherboard is a large circuitboard which contains some of the most important aspects of the computer it connects directly or indirectly to every part of the computer.

6. Expansion slots are where you can add expansion cards to upgrade your computer

7. The Hard Drive is used for long term storage even when the computer is turned off most hard drives use a magnetic platter to store data but a lot of new computers have solid state drives which are faster and more durable but more expensive
