In computer science, the general meaning of input is to provide or give something to the computer, in other words, when a computer or device is receiving a command or signal from outer sources, the event is referred to as input to the device.
- Definition of an Input device
Anything that comes out of a computer. Output can be meaningful information or gibberish, and it can appear in a variety of forms -- as binary numbers, as characters, as pictures, and as printed pages. Output devices include display screens, loudspeakers, and printers.
- Definition of an Output device
Sensors
- Sensors sence when movement is around and sends that to the motor so the door knows when to open and close
- Different sensors are made for different types of people who suffer with a disability
- Proximity Sensor
- A device that detects the presence or absence of a nearby object, or properties of that object, and converts it into signal which can be easily read by user or a simple electronic instrument without getting in contact with them.
- Pressure Sensor
- A pressure sensor is a device that senses pressure and converts it into an electric signal.
- Gas Senor
- Gas sensors are similar to the chemical ones, but are specifically used to monitor changes of the air quality and detect the presence of various gases.
- Level Sensor
- A sensor which is used to determine the level or amount of fluids, liquids or other substances that flow in an open or closed system is called Level sensor.
- Motion sensor
- A motion detector is an electronic device which is used to detect the physical movement(motion) in a given area and it transforms motion into an electric signal ; motion of any object or motion of human beings
Peripheral is a external device that is connected to a computer but not part of it and you can see it
