1. Key

   • In order to decrypt you need a key which you would use to work out what the encryption is.

2. Cipher

   • A cipher is a message which is encrypted code. If you are using numbers for your message you would have a letter for each for each number such as 1=a 2=b.

3. When would you use encryption

   • For example you would use encryption when you send bank details or when you send messages to someone and you dont want anyone else knowing.

4. Firewall

   • You need a firewall to protect your pc from unwanted virus entering your pc (e.g worms, zombies and trojan horses).

5. Antivirus Software

   • You need a antivirus software so you know when you have downloaded (installed) or opened something containing unwanted virus. It is important to keep it up to date other wise you might not know if you have a virus or not.

6. The importance of controlling what you receive and send

   • It is important to control what you recieve and send because you could be sending something like details which could be important also you could open something you have recieved which could contain a virus.
