1. Atoms are made from protons, neutrons and electrons

   • Protons
     • Found in the nucleus of the atom
     • Have a relative charge of +1
     • There are the same number of protons and electrons in an atom
       • This means that the overall charge of the atom is 0
         • The protons cancel out the electrons
   • Neutrons
     • also found in the nucleus of the atom
     • Relative charge of 0
   • Electrons
     • Orbit the nucleus
     • Relative charge of -1
