Project Planning

1. Technology solves problems

   • Throughout history, people have needed to move around
     • many ingenious devices have been invented to assist with this
       • trains, cars, aeroplanes...

2. Elements that affect technology

   • Materials and their properties
   • Scientific and technical knowledge and concepts
   • Technical drawing
   • Computers
   • Work skills
   • Economic factors

3. Phases of the technological process

   • Previous solutions and individual proposals
     • The sketches should express the idea clearly
       • Itś very impor individually so that you don't influence other people's ideas in any way
   • Development of a group solution
     • Technical drawing
     • Progress status sheet
     • Measurements and budget

   • Needs: formulating a project
     • Projects are often defined by a tender document which specifies how the task must be completed
   • Group discussion and selection of a solution
