Computational Logic

  1. Logic Gates take boolean (binary) inputs and convert them in to outputs

    • Basic Logic Gates
      • AND (AnB)
        • Both must be 1 to output a 1
      • OR (AuB)
        • At least one must be a 1 to output a 1
      • NOT (¬A)
        • Inverts. 1 will become 0, 0 will become 1
    • Logic Gates can be combined to created bigger, more complex gates.
  2. Binary is the presence of electricity. Absence is a 0, off. Presence is a 1, on.
