     • They are of defined shapes, solid, that before an intense effort are deformed and can not return to their initial form
   • ELASTOMERS
     • They are materials with very low point of elasticity, high density and resistance
   • FIBERS
     • Its high and low density properties allow to create fabrics that remain stable

2. CHEMICAL COMPOSITION

   • COPOLYMER
     • Composed of two- or three units chemical (plastic acrylonitrile)
   • HOMOPOLYMERS
     • Composed of identical monomers (polyethylene, polyacrylonitrile)

3. ORIGIN

   • SYNTHETICS
     • Manufactured in laboratories by components chemicals. Example acrylic, pvc
   • NATURAL
     • directly from animal kingdom and vegetable. Examples rubber, polysaccharides, starch, glycogen, and proteins

4. BEHAVIOR WHEN ITS TEMPERATURE RISES

   • THERMOPLASTICS
     • They become a homogeneous liquid when heated.
   • THERMOSETTING
     • Once passed through the heating process, they become rigid materials that cannot be melted

5. ¿WHAT ARE THEY?

   • They are a type of macromolecules made up of chains of simpler units, called monomers, linked together by covalent bonds.
