Database
Database is when data (information) is in an organised way. This means it makes it easier to access, edit (add) or take data.
The school stores many bits of data about each and every student (e.g. You) and emergency numbers, Grades and much more for many reasons. The main things that the school have to have about the students are: Phone numbers, age/DOB, grades, allergies, height+weight, injuries. Around the outside is data my school keeps about me.
