1. Benefits

   • Automatic recalculation
     • Allows the spreadsheet to automatically calculate when the values for the formulae are changed
     • Don't have to change the resulting factors and just the initial data
   • Graphs and charts can be drawn using the data in selected cells
   • Replication

2. Formulae

   • ADD
   • SUBTRACT

   • DIVISION
   • You can replicate a formula down a spread sheet, the cells in the formula will change depending on what row the formula is in. This feature is called a relative cell reference.
     • We can stop this using an absolute cell reference by placing a $ before each letter and number in the cell reference. Now we can replicate the formula using one absolute cell reference

3. Formating

   • Coloured borders, or lines, can be added to the edge of each cell.
   • Cells can be formatted according to their data type
   • Cells can be merged or combined together
   • The font can be changed
   • The background fill tool can change the colour of the cells
