1. Area of a rectangle: L x W

2. Area of a triangle: 1/2 x base x vertical height

3. Area of a parallelogram: Base x Vertical height

4. Area of a Trapezium: average of a parallel sides X distance between them

5. area of a circle: PIE X RADIUS SQUARED e.g if the radius is 3cm then the area = 3.14(equal to pie) X 3 X 3 = 28cm2

6. Circumference: pie x diameter e.g if the diameter is 3cm the formula would be: 3.14 x 3 = 9.42

   • Circumference: Distance around the outside of the circle
   • Radius: The line in between the middle of the circle
