System Threats
Malware
- Malware is short for Malicious Software. It is any software used to disrupt computer systems, gather sensitive information, gain access to private computer systems, or display unwanted advetising
Phishing
- Phishing is the attempt to obtain sensitive information such as usernames, passwords or details. Phishing is normally carried out by email or messaging. Then set it up to look identical as the real company
Brute Force Attack
- A brute force attack consists of an attacker trying many passwords with the hope of eventually guessing correctly
Denial of service attack
- A denial of service attack works by making a website or network stop. it does this by flooding it with useless network communications, such as repeated login requests. the criminals may use malware to take control of lots of computers, which all sends login and information requests at the same time. Its like a group of people crowding the entering door to stop a shop and not letting custormers to enter, which affects the shops service
SQL Injection
- SQL is a programming language and a SQL injection attack happens when a hacker targets a database or a website form. when the form asks a user for input, like their username, the hacker types in a SQL statement which will run and can then control or change the data in the database
