Individual packets are sent onto the network to follow the most convenient paths at that time

When a packet reaches a machine on the network the label is read and, if it is not destined for that machine, the most suitable direction available is chosen and the packet is launched down another rout.

Eventually all the packets will arrive at the destination but they will be out of order so the packets have to be rearranged before the file of data is used.

Unlike circuit switching, Packet switching does not tie up large parts of the network.

It also makes it very difficult to intercept a message.

this is an efficient method for network communications as the fastest rout is always found.

How DNS works:

Advantages:

People do not need to remember IP addresses

IP addresses are easily upgradeable without the for web address to change.

You can have access to all IP address via DNS system.
