Minerals are;

Solid

crystal lattice with a regular repeating pattern

What is a crystal?

A crystal grows by minerals adding atoms around their margins.

They develop their shapes due to atom arrangement developing a CRYSTAL. A clean, well developed crystal is known as euhedral, whereas the opposite of this is known as Anhedral.
