Some adj have two superlatives forms. Eg: narrow => the narrowest/most

Eg: the most beautiful, the least polluted

Double the final consonant if it comes right after a vowel. Eg: shortest

For adj ending in –e, just add –st. Eg: cutest

For adj ending in –y, change –y to –i then add –st. Eg: tidy => tidiest

bad => worst

good => best

far => farthest/furthest
