Digestive System

• Contributions to Homeostasis- Process the food we eat for energy and materials to grow.
• Mechanical Digestion-is when you physically change the form of the food. Examples- chewing, mixing
• Chemical Digestion- is to break it down, changing what it is. You get the nutrients and the sugar from it.

Circulatory System

• Job- the circulatory system transports nutrients and oxygen through our body.
• Systemic Circulation- Circulation to the other systems to your body, other than lungs.
• Pulmonary Circulation- Circulation between the heart and the lungs.
• Capillaries- small, narrow, thin blood vessels where exchange takes place.

Arteries vs Veins

• Carry blood away from the heart
• Has Oxygen rich blood
• No Valves
• Veins carry blood to the heart
• Have Oxygen poor blood
• have valves that direct the blood flow

Respiratory System

• Contribution to Homeostasis- to maintain a balance of gases through gas exchange.
