Jesus Preaching In Nazareth:

Jesus went to Galilee in the power of the Holy spirit

News about Jesus spread through the countryside

Everyone praised and looked up to him

On the sabbath day he went to a synagogue in Nazareth

The scroll of Isaiah was handed to him to read

Jesus read out the following:

'The spirit of the lord is on me,

because he has anointed me to

preach good news to the poor.

He has sent me to reclaim freedom for the prisoners

and recovery of sight for the blind,

to release the oppressed,

to proclaim the year of the Lord's favour.'

After he finished reading he handed the scroll back and sat down

Everyone was starring at him

Then Jesus said:

'Today this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.'
