Introduction

• There are many important terms in physics. These terms shape physics as a whole. Such terms are very important and they aid in forming the foundation of physics.
• In this chapter we will check out such terms, their meanings and some formulae related to them.

Basics

• We shall now see the most basic terms that are used in physics with their meanings:
• Moment, Instant and Duration: Moment and Instant refer to a particular point of time whereas Duration refers to a length of time , for example, If a ball is thrown vertically upwards, the ball comes back to us. So, we can say that the ball came at rest at a particular moment/instant
