Overview of Basic Tissue Types notes

These user-made notes offer several ways into the unit. Histology lists the four primary tissue types and their subdivisions. Lecture 2 also introduces the tissue classifications before moving into classes of epithelial tissue.

For a closer look at one group, the notes titled Connective Tissue cover supporting tissues and their divisions. Epithelial Tissue describes general characteristics, including closely packed cells and exposed surfaces.

Using the notes to revise

Start with Histology if you want a list of the main tissue types before reading about individual groups. Then choose a note on epithelial or connective tissue and write a short summary of the characteristics it describes. Check your summary against the note.

When you want a different way to review the same unit, switch to a mind map for an overview or a quiz for questions. Pick a note and see which topic you want to revisit.
