About present tenses mind maps

Using Present Tenses mind maps

These maps bring related forms and examples together in branches. They cover present simple and present continuous, along with topics such as frequency adverbs, likes and dislikes, and the verb to be.

For a focus on form, start with Present Simple. Its branches show affirmative, negative and question forms, including the ending used with he, she and it. Read a branch, cover it, then see if you can recall the form before checking it again.

Move between maps and practice

Use Present Simple and Present Continuous to compare when the forms are used. A map on frequency adverbs adds words used to describe routines. You can also explore Time expressions for Present Simple for examples of time expressions.

Once you have reviewed a map, switch to a quiz on the unit page to practise choosing forms. Flashcards there offer another way to review verbs. Try a map, then test a branch with a quiz.
