Post-Hoc Basics
- Comparisons that are decided on after the data has been collected
- Used to determine which groups differ significantly after ANOVA has identified a significant difference somewhere.
When to do a Post-Hoc
- Were significant
- If you have more than 2 levels of the factor
- Best to use on a .001 sig as at 0.05 still 1 in 20 chance of error (type 1)
Reporting Post-hocs
- e.g level a * level b was significant
- Talk about the interactions and which ones were significant
