- 3A disruption of the equilibrium by some action or person.The Joker doesn't have plans. It is hard to guess what he is going to do next as he doesn't even know.
- 4A recognition that there has been a disruption.The Joker kills Rachel Dawes and disrupts Harvey Dents fundraiser. Bruce Wayne/Batman watches hostages on TV.
- 5An attempt to repair the disruption.Batman speaking to the Joker in the police cell to try and find out his plans.
- 6A reinstatement of the equilibrium.The Joker is arrested and Harvey Dent dies.
But there isn't a complete reinstatement as at the end of the film Batman is then chased by the police.
