The government supplies materials and the people build their own homes. This provides better housing and money saved can be spent on electricity etc.
- 9What are site and service schemes?People pay a small amount of rent for a site, and they can borrow money to buy materials to build or improve a house on their plot. The rent money is then used to provide basic services for the area
