    4) Quaternary- resurch
  2. 2When will a country's employment structure change?When it develops
  3. 3Describe the employment structures in LEDC's1) Most of the work is primary
    2) Few people work in secondary as there isn't enough money to invest in tech needed
    3) A small percentage of people work in Tertiary- usually in cities where there are banks and hospitals
    4) Theres no Quaternary industry as the country doesn't have enough educated or skilled workers
  4. 4Why do many people in LEDC's not appear in government statistics?Because the jobs are informal, meaning the government doesn't know about them as they aren't taxed etc.
  5. 5What is an NIC?A newly industrialized country
  6. 6Why do countries become NIC's?As the country becomes more developed the percentage of people employed in secondary structures increases then decreases. This is because as infrastructure develops, countries move their factories to LECD's where Labour is cheaper
  7. 7Describe the employment structure in MEDC's1) Few people work in primary jobs as machines replace workers and it's cheaper to import primary goods from other countries
    2) Fewer people work in secondary's than in NIC's
    3) Most people work in tertiary as they are educated and there is a high demand for services like banks
    4) There some Quaternary as the country has some money to invest in it
