WEBERIANISM Conflict theory - social classes fighting to pursue economic interests, status groups fighting for social honour, prestige and respect, conflict between political parties concerned with the unequal distribution of power in society Structuration
MARXISM Conflict theory - exploitation of non-owners by the owners has created a conflict of class interests Concerned with the inequality of power and wealth in society, and the dominant ideologies in society Structuralist
NEO MARXISM Conflict theory but leans more towards the social action (interactionist) approach, focussing more on people's ideas than structuralism and economic determinism
