Question Answer
What occurs in the Mesophyll tissues? Photosynthesis.
What does xylem and phloem do? They transport thing such as water, mineral ions and sucrose around the plant.
What does epidermal tissue do? Covers the whole plant.
What is the equation for photosynthesis? 6d8c9a27-6f7b-4289-9d2c-99f5eb573162.png (image/png)
What does photosynthesis produce? It produces glucose (food) for plants and algae.
Where in the leaves of plants does photosynthesis occur? In the chloroplast.
What does chloroplast contain, what does it do and what is produced as a by-product? Chlorophyll, which absorbs sunlight and used the energy to convert CO2 (from the air) and water (from the soil) into glucose. Oxygen is produced as a by-product.
What are the 4 raw materials needed for photosynthesis? 549106b5-36ab-42d2-8b17-132a2fa65f5a.png (image/png)
