communication and language development definition? this is about being able to understand what others say as well as being able to speak yourself and let others know what you are saying, for example working in groups.
physical development definition? this is about the ways that children move and use their bodies, when looking at this area we need to think about fine motor and gross motor skills, for example walking, running, jumping, or painting.
emotional and behavioural development definition? this is about how children develop feelings and concerns for others, it is also about how they learn to express their emotions such as anger or excitement, for example using cards which the child have to guess what sort of emotion is on the card.
social development definition? this is about developing relationships with others and learning the skills needed to maintain those relationships, for example saying please and thank you's
cognitive definition? this area of development is about the ways our brain takes in information and developing imagination, for example problem solving, and understand of concepts e.g colour.
