- 7CoachingRather similar to mentoring but difference is it involves helping inexperience employee acquire high quality skills in a number of specific management areas. These can include communication, budgeting, appraisal of staff and disciplinary procedures.
- 8Project WorkA specific investigation project for employees enable them to appreciate aspects of the organisation and helps them get to know senior managers. Can involve employees devising ways to save the business money proposing a redundancy or restructuring the workforce.
- 9Internal and External CoursesPotential managers are sent on courses to help them expand skills and abilities. Some enable them to take on more detailed knowledge so they are able to take on more responsibility in jobs.
