- 10What is secondary care for CHF?The prevention of progression AND pharmacotherapy to improve symptoms
- 11What is tertiary care for CHF?- Pharmacotherapy

- Intensive home monitoring to prevent progression and clinical event. - 12What are some symptoms of CHF?- Dyspnea (SOB) with exertion or minimal activity.
- Fatigue
- Oedema - 13What is the sympathetic nervous system response to CHF?Cardiac output maintained via vasoconstriction + increased heart rate.
- 14What is the effect of the sympathetic nervous system response on CHF?Effective in the short term but increase in preload and afterload reduces cardiac output -> further ventricular dysfunction.
